A change in pressure in the gauge tube alters the molecular collision rate and therefore the thermal conducti on of the gas or gas mixture surrounding the thermopile.

Remove battery compartment cover, and then adj ust DV-4 calibration pot until display reads pressure value listed on reference tube label.
