T O M UTE THE H ANDSET The “MUTE” key is used to deactivate the handset microphone, while allowing the user to hear the other end of the conversation through the handset. 1) Press the “MUTE” key to activate. The “MUTE” LED will illuminate.
C HARGING THE B A TTER Y The rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride battery must be fully char ged before using the phone for the first time. It is recommended that the battery pack be charged overnight (or for at least 12 hours) without interruption before the first use.
P ROGRAMMING THE H O TEL S ER VICES D IRECT A CCESS K EYS The CL1 100 series has either six (model CL1 106) or eleven (model CL1 1 1 1) programmable hotel services direct access (or auto dial) keys (M1-M6/M1 1.) These keys can be pro- grammed to automatically dial telephone numbers or activate telephone system features.

Then firmly press down on the top of the battery compartment cover and slide it towards the bottom of the handset until it is removed.
