2 RATING PLATE The appliance rating plate is located on the underside of the hob, once the appliance is fitted into it s housing th en the rating plate is no longer vi sible. For fu ture reference please write the rating plate information in the box below.

4 General Information Please read this booklet thoroughly before you use this appliance. It is important that yo u understand all the control functions before commencing to cook with your Baumatic appliance. The information and warnings contained in this booklet are designed to assist you in obtaining the best use of your new Baumatic appliance.
5 TECHNICAL DETAILS 1. Installation Installation is the buyer’s responsibility. The manufact urer accepts no liability for this service. Any action that the manufacturer has to take due to an erroneous installation will not be cover ed by the guarantee.
6 Applying the seal Important - The figure below shows how the seal must be attached all around the perimeter. This cook top has been designed for non-p rofessional, domestic use.
7 INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE Important: Before cooking with the a ppliance for the first time , it is importa nt to clea n the cook top. Then tur n on all the heating elem ents, one as a t ime, with no p an on top, for 5 minutes on the maxim um temperat ure setting.
8 Residual heat indicator As long as th e temperat ure of the burn er remains high en ough to caus e injury, th e displa y corresponding to the burner s hows the “ H ” sy mbol (residual heat). This indica tion only disappears when there is no longer any danger (at 60°C).

10 CLEANING AND MAI NTENANCE A few cooking tip s Use only saucepans and fry ing pans with a sturdy , preferably thick bottom. This is particu larly important w hen preparing food requiring high cooking temperatures, such as fried foods. If the bottom of the pan is not perfectly flat, the food takes longer to cook and uses up more energy.
11 TECHNICAL SUPPORT Before calling in the technician: - if the cook top does not work, we recommend you first make sure that the plug is fitted properly in the power socket. If you cannot find any reason for the malfunction: - turn off the appliance and do not manhandle it.
