4 Scanning... 34 GET TING ST ARTED CONNECTING POWER Before connec ting the power , check that the mains voltage on the rating plate of the A C adapt or is the same as the voltage in your ar ea. Plug the DC cord from the AC adaptor into the DC-In jack • on the side of the unit.
5 LISTENING T O FM RADIO Y ou can choose to listen to D AB or FM radio - Selec ting DAB or F M: Press the • MODE button repeatedly to switch bet ween DAB and FM mode . Y our radio can also receive F M band radio stations. T o change to the FM band: Press the • MODE button to switch between DAB and FM mode.
6 DAB SCANNING When rst used, your radio scanned the D AB band for available stations. The station services found wer e then stored in y our radio ’ s memor y . Y ou can re -scan the band at any time if y ou move to a dierent area or just to r efresh the stor ed list of available sta tions.
7 The bottom line of the display can be switched to show dierent items of information that may be transmitted with an FM station. T o change the display mode: Press the INFO button repeatedly to change the information displayed while pla ying an FM radio station.

9 MORE DET AIL OF THE DAB SETTINGS MENU OPTIONS: AUT OSCAN: Selec t Autoscan to re-scan the entire DAB band and refr esh the station list. MANUAL TUNING: Manual tuning enables you to search the band manually by pressing the P or O button to step through the multiplex numbers and check if any have usable signal strength on a bargraph display.
10 SE T TING THE ALARMS SETTING THE ALARMS Y ou can set two completely separate alarm times ( ALARM 1 and ALARM 2) and ac tivate either or both of them to wake you with a buzzer or radio . Y ou can also pre-set the station preset and v olume settings that the alarms will wak e you with.
11 SETTING THE ALARM TO W AKE YOU T o set the alarm to wake you: Check that the Alarm symbol is displayed . If not, set • the Alarm(s) On as described in the ‘Setting the Alarms’ section on the previous page.
12 CARE AND CLEANING All c are and cleaning operations should be carried out with the unit unplugged from the mains pow er and switched o . The surface of the unit can be cleaned with a barely damp cloth and then dried carefully . Never use abrasiv es, abrasive cloths or chemical solvents .
