– 5 – EN ABOUT THE DISCS Disc T ypes [D VD] Data on a D VD is divided into sections called "titles", and then into subsections called "chapters", each of which is given a title or chapter number .

– 7 – EN 1. Open the battery compar tment cov er . 2. Insert two AA batter ies , with each one oriented correctly . 3. Close the cov er . NO TES • Do not mix alkaline and manganese batteries.
– 8 – EN HOOK UPS NO TES: • Connect the D VD player directly to a TV . If the A/V cables are connected to a VCR, pictures ma y be distor ted due to the copy protection system. • Be sure to turn off the power to all components in the system before connecting another component.
During playbac k, press P A USE . • Playbac k will pause and sound will be muted. The disc goes f orward by one fr ame each time P A USE is pressed. T o exit step b y step playbac k, press PLA Y . 3 2 1 D VD-V During playbac k, press ST OP . • Resume message will appear on the TV screen.
– 10 – EN During playbac k, press FWD g g or REV h h repeated- ly to select the required f orward or re verse speed: x2, x8, x50, x100. • If you are using SKIP G / SEARCH g g on the front panel, press and hold it for more than 1.5 sec (the longer you hold it, the f aster the speed will be) .
Y ou can check the MP3 files during playbac k. Press DISPLA Y . • The name of the file currently in play will be displa yed. Press DISPLA Y again to show the trac k number , the elapsed time, the repeat status , and the play- back status at the top of the screen.
– 12 – EN PLA YING A DISC T rack Selection Press SEARCH MODE dur ing pla yback. • The FILE LIST will appear . Select a desired trac k using Arrow ( L / K / B / s ). • Press B when you w ant to go to the next hierarch y . • Press s when you w ant to go back to the previous hierarch y .
Adjust the Black Le vel Settings to mak e the blac k par ts of the picture as bright as you pref erred. Press MODE during pla yback. Press ENTER to s witch ON/OFF . ON : Makes the dark par ts brighter . OFF : Shows the original picture as recorded. Press MODE twice or RETURN to e xit.
Y ou can change cer tain aspects of the D VD display screens, on-screen messages and the display panel on the front of the D VD play er . Press SETUP in STOP mode. Press B to select CUST OM , then press ENTER . • CUST OM mode will appear . Press s or B to select DISPLA Y , then ENTER to confirm.
