1. Safety 1. SAFETY About this chapter Read this chapter at tentively . It contains im portant i nformation to prevent personal injury while installing and using a HD X projector . Furthermore, it incl udes several cauti ons to prevent damage to t he HDX projector .
1. Safety the potential risk to themselves or other persons. T he term USER and OP ERA TOR refers to any person other than SERVICE PER - SONNEL, AUTHOR IZED to operate profes sional project ion systems.
1. Safety • It is hazardous to op erate without lens or shield. Lenses, shields or ultra violet screens shall be changed if they have become visibly damaged to such an extent that their ef fectiveness is impaired. Fo r example by cracks or deep scratches.
1. Safety • Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a dam p cloth for cleaning. Never use strong solvents, such as thinner or benzine, or abrasive cleaners, since these will damage the cabinet.

2. Gener al 2. GENERAL About this chapter Read this chapter before installing your HDX projector . It contains important infor mation concerning installation requirements for the HDX projector , suc h.

Main Power requirements The HDX projector operat es from a nominal mono phase power net with a separate earth ground PE.

2. Gener al Shift range The lens can be shifted with respect to the DMD (P) which result in a shifted image on the screen (Off-Axis). A 100% shift means that the centre point of the projected image is shifted by half the screen si ze.

Push the battery cover tab with t he fi ngernail a li ttle backwards (1) and pull, at t he same time, the cover upwards (2). 1 2 Image 3-2 2. 3. Ph ysical ins tallat ion Image 3-23 Lens calc ulator The Lens Calculator can also be u sed to determine the position of the projector when the lens type and screen widt h is known. Due to lens tolerances the results of calculated values may b e different from measured va lues.
3. Ph ysical ins tallat ion 4. Ensure that the lens holder stands in the O n-Axis position (horizontal and vertical mid position). Note: The lens holder is placed default in t he On-Axis position at f actory . 5. Gently insert the lens in such a way that the lens connector matches the socket (B).

Insert both cable sides into the c lamp; Strap the cable and make sure that the clamp is positioned on 45° from the bottom to avoid interference of the cable with the lens locking mechanism.

Ph ysical ins tallat ion 3.7 Suspens ion of the projector with rigging clamps Rigging points and rigging cl amps When a carrying handle is mounted at the bottom side of the projector , eight slots ar e available to mount rigging clamps. Four slots are longitudinally (1) oriented and four slots ar e transversely (2) or iented.
3. Ph ysical ins tallat ion 3. Turn in the rigging clamps into the rigging points using a 17 mm open ended spanner and secure the rigging cl amps by turning the safety nut on the rigging clamp against the rigging point using a 17 mm open en ded spanner .

8. Inpu t 8.4 Input locking What is possible? The output signal can be locked on an internal sync si gnal or on the sync signal of one of the input sources. Or it can follow the input of the Main window or Pip w indow . When locked to the co rresponding input sync, the output will be show n without movement artifacts.

If there is a m isalignment of at least one 1 pixel, an electronic realignment is possible. Mechanical realignment of the convergence can only be done by a quali fi ed service technician.
