Overvie w 10 Ov erview Intr oduction The MFCD 1219 (TS), BAR CO’s full c o lor 19” L CD display , guarant ees perfect image quality in me dical imaging applications . The display c ombines a TFT (thin film transistor) liquid crystal d isplay panel structure and a built -in backlight with invert er for a better picture quality .
Overvie w 11 T ouch panel The MFCD 1219 TS is equipped with a t ouch panel. Instructions on how to install and use the t ouch panel driver and contr ols can be found in the "T ouchKit , Barco T ouchScreen c ontroller installation and user manual" on the supplied CD-ROM .

Installation 14 Installation Pr ecautions • Keep your original pack aging. It is designed for this display and is the ideal pr otection during transport. • A void reflections in the flat panel to reduce e ye strain. • Plac e the display on a str ong and stable table or desk.
Installation 15 2. Firmly pres s down the push-butt on (9) with one hand while carefully lifting the panel up with the other hand. 3. Remov e the panel from the f oot. Step 2: Fix the mounting plat e to the wall 1. Scre w the mounting plate to the wall with the 4 supplied screws (A).
Installation 16 Please mak e sure that the four shafts ar e securely placed in the notches o f the mounting plate . 2. T o secure the panel, slide f orwar d the locks on both sid es of the mounting plate . Lock the panel with one scre w at both sides (D).
Installation 17 T o connect the video & sync signals: 1. Connect on e end of the appropria te video cable to the corr esponding video input of the monitor . • Analog video: Connect to in put (3) • DVI: C onnect to input (2) 2. Connect the o ther end of the video cable to the vid eo output of your video sourc e.
Installation 18 Note : The r ecommended r esolution for best image quality is 1280x1024 at 60 Hz. The microc ontroller in the displa y checks if the c onnected video signal has been adjusted be fore , and if these adjustments ha ve been st ored in the memory .

On-screen displa y (OSD) 20 On-scr een displa y (OSD) How t o use the OSD The OSD is a window on y our screen that allows y ou to view and change display settings. T o change an OSD setting, proc eed as follows: 1. Press the Menu ke y (3) on the front to displa y the OSD main menu.
On-screen displa y (OSD) 21 a) Press the < (left) key (1) or > (right) key (2) to chang e the value. b) Press the Menu key (3) to enter the new value and return to the menu. 5. The curr ent settings are sav ed automatically when you return t o the pre vious level or e xit the OSD menu.
On-screen displa y (OSD) 22 Image Contr ol menu This menu is av ailable only when an analog video signal is selected. Contr ast T o ad just the image brightness in relation t o the backgroun d (the background is unchanged). This function contr ols the digital gain adjustment .
On-screen displa y (OSD) 23 Col o r Me n u Phase Manually adjusts the internal clock phase . When not adjusted corr ectly , vertical bands with alternate intensity appear in the image.
On-screen displa y (OSD) 24 OSD Contr ol Menu T o unlock the Contr ols, proc eed as follows: 1. Press the Po wer key t o switch off the display . 2. With one hand, pre ss and hold the < (left) and the > (right) key at the same time. With the other hand, pr ess the Po wer key shor tly to swit ch the display on again.
