19 Recording an M D right away! This sect ion ex plains the ba sic procedur e for making di gital recordin gs using an optical cabl e connected t o a CD player , Digital TV or o ther dig ital equ ipme nt. Make s ure to use th e o ptic al c able . It is recommended t o use the reco rder with the A C po wer adaptor when recordin g.

43 Dividing a track (Divide) Y ou can divide a trac k wi th a track mark , crea ting a new track f rom the part follo wing the tr ack mark. Y ou can also make f ine adjust ments to the track mark position before making the actual div ision. The trac k numbers will incr ease as foll ows.
44 T o add track ma rks whil e recording (except while synchro-recording) Press T M AR K on the r ecor de r (P MODE/ on the r emote control) at the point y ou want to a dd a track mark.
