10 Getting St arte d Resetting t he unit Before o perating th e unit for t he f irst time, o r after r eplacin g the car battery o r chan ging the connection s, you must reset the unit. Remove the fron t panel and pr ess the RESET butto n wi th a p oin te d ob ject , suc h as a ba llp oi nt pen.

15 Playing tracks i n random order — Shuffl e Play Y o u can se lect: •S H U F - A l b u m * 1 — to play the tracks in the curre nt album in ra ndom order .
16 Tips • Simply overwrite or ent er “ ” to cor rec t or er ase a character. • There i s anothe r way to star t labe lling a CD: Pr ess (LIST ) for 2 seconds instead of perform ing step s 2 and 3. Y ou can also complet e the opera tion by pressing (LIST) f or 2 second s instead of step 5.

21 Presetting RDS stati ons with AF and T A setting When y ou pre set RDS st atio ns, th e uni t st ores each station’s AF/T A se tting (on/ off) as well a s its fre quenc y . Y ou ca n select a dif fere nt setti ng (for AF , T A, or bo th) for individual pr eset stations , or the same s etting for a ll preset station s.

30 Cleaning the connectors The unit ma y not fun ction prop erly if th e connecto rs between the unit and th e front pane l are not cle an. In order to pr event this, deta ch the front pane l (pa ge 10) and clean th e conne ctors with a cot ton swab di pped in alc ohol .
