8 US Quick Guide to Disc T ype Discs that can be played back on the Unit differ , depending on the model you are using. The kinds of disc that you can use on the Unit are as follows.
9 US 9 US Example of discs that the Unit cannot play The Unit cannot play the following discs: – A disc that has a non-standar d shape (e.g., card, heart) – A disc with paper or stickers on it – A disc that has the adhesive of cellophane tape or a sticker still left on it.
10 US Chapter 1 Getting Started This chapter pr ovides you with information how to connect and setup the Unit. Setting up the System Y our system has already been installed by an installer . If you want to change the configuration, the TV or the audio equipment, check the location of the VIDEO out jack, the LINE IN jack, and the IR IN/OUT jack.
11 US Chapter 1 Getting Started Selecting a method for using the remote Connections between the Unit and each device ar e made via cables or cor ds coming through the wall. Y ou can operate a component using the remote if the IR IN/OUT terminal of the Unit and the component are connected.

18 US Chapter 2 Parts and Controls Preparing the r emote I nsert two R06 (size-AA) batteries into the battery compartment with the + and – corr ectly oriented to the markings. When using the remote, point it at the IR sensor on the Unit. Notes • Under normal conditions, the batteries should last for about six months.
