8 REPLACE SP ARK PLUG Replace the spark plug eac h year to ens ure the engine starts eas ier and runs better . Se t spark plug gap at 0. 025 in. Igniti on t iming is fixed and nonadjustable. 1. T wis t, then pull off spark plug boot. 2. Remove spark plug from c ylinder and discar d.
9 ENGINE S Remove spark pl ug and pour 1 teaspoon of 40:1 , 2-cycle engine oil (air cooled) through the spark plug opening. Slowly pull t he start er rope 8 to 10 t imes t o distribut e oil. S Replace spark pl ug w ith new one of recom- mended type and heat range.
