4 1 When the data security kit is installed When the data security kit is installed, the icon appears on the t ouch panel. T ouch the icon ( ) to vie w inf or mation on the data security kit version . When the data security kit is installed, data remaining in the mach ine is automatically erased after each job .

6 When the data security kit is installed ■ Confidential folder s and confidential files of the document filing function If an incorrect pass word is entered 3 times in a ro w f or a specific confidential f older or file, the f older or file will be loc ked.
7 When the data securi ty kit is installed ■ FTP Pull Print When the FTP Pull Print function (when the prin ter e x pansion kit is installe d) is used to directly print a file on an FTP server , a "User Name" and "P ass word" must be ente red when the FTP ser ver is select ed.

9 2 System settings This section e xplains system settings that are related t o the security function. Using the System Settings (Administrator) F ollow the procedure in "SYSTEM SETTI NGS (ADMINISTRA T OR)" in "7. SYSTEM SETTINGS" of the Oper ation Guide to configure the setti ngs in the system setting s (administrator).

11 System settings Data Clearance Settings ■ Clear All Memory This program is used to manually clear all data from the memory and hard disk of the machine .
12 System settings [Clear screen 2] The message "Clearing all memor y ." will appear . ● During clear ing, progress will be shown as a percentage together with the number of repetitions . ● When clearing is completed, the follo wing screen will appear f or c onfir mation.
13 System settings ■ Clear Document Filing Data This function is used to clear data stored using the document filing function. Data whose proper ty is set to "Prot ect " or "Confidential" is also cleared.
14 System settings ■ Clear Address Book and Registered Data This function is used to clea r the items indicated be low , which cannot be cleared or initialized using "Clear All Me mor y" (.
15 System settings ■ P ower Up A uto Clear This function is used to automa tically clear all data in the machine when t he pow er s witch is tur ned on.
16 System settings ■ Clearance Time Settings T o fur ther strengthe n the security settings , you can ha ve data clearing repeated a set number of time s in each area. T ouch the select bo x of each item and select the numbe r of times that y ou wish data clearing to be repeated.
17 System settings Enable/Disab le Settings ■ Disabling of Document Filing This program is used to restrict the f iling modes of the docu ment filing function.
18 System settings ■ Disabling of Print Jobs Other Than Print Hold Job Printing in print mode other than from the operation panel of the machine ca n be prohibited.

22 Document Control Setting ■ Settings fo r printing files stored by document filing These settings are f or printing the data of cop y jobs and print jobs that hav e been stored on the machine's hard drive using the docu ment filing function.
