www.avenview.co m 5 1.9 Hardware Insta llation To setup Avenview C -EDID- RW follow these steps for connecting to a d evice: 1.9.1 Read the EDID from a DVI Display or Projector 1. Before connecting the Pow er and oth er devices to C -EDID-RW, set th e DIP switches at the bottom of C-EDID-RW at 1 -OFF 2- ON ( ) 2.

If during EDID update to D VI monitor a power surge happens or serial cable is no t unplugged then this might result in incomplete EDID.
