1 Overview The 201-type Modu le Recorder Interface is an optiona l device that, when installed with the Avaya 242 0 Digital Telephone, allows yo u to record telephone conversations. In addition, th is module allows you to use the t wo headset jacks on the 20- type stand rather than a sin gle headset jack directly connected to th e 2420 telephone.

3 T r oubleshooting Visual P ower Indicators The 2420 telephone d isplay pro vides visual indication whether the module has pow er . T o view the po wer status, select the Options softk ey from the 2420 telephone Home screen, and th en select the Self T est f eatur e button.
4 PROB LEM: THE 2420 TELEPHONE DOES NOT HAVE DIAL TONE 1 Mak e sure the handset and line cords at y our 2420 telephone are securely connected at both ends. 2 If there is still no dial tone, check with your system ma nager to v erify that yo ur telephone is administered correctly .
