Avaya 1010/1020 User Guide 5 Camera and Microphone An Avaya 10 10/1020 system includes a high-de fi nition video camera an d a device with one or more microp hones for audio input during a call. A v aya V ideo Camera 100 is a fixe d-focus camera that includes two omni-dir ectional microphones, providing audio and video input from the same device.

Avaya V ideo Camer a 150 is a pan, tilt, zoom camera and A vaya V ideo MicP od 1000 includes a sing le omni-directional microphone, mute button and mu te status L EDs.
Avaya 1010/1020 User Guide 7 Remote Control The Avay a remote control provides wireless control of all A vaya 1010/1020 functions an d enables you to navigate the user interface, place and receive ca lls, and contro l cameras connected to the system.
8 Avaya 1010/1020 User Guide Navigating the User Interface When your Avaya system is idle, a screen saver appears on the display , or the screen is black. An incoming call or pressing any button on the remote con trol automatically invokes the system.

The navigation bar cont ains icons that correspond to buttons on the remote control and text that describes the action a button pe rforms . Avaya 1010/1020 User Guide 13 Placing a Call from the REDIAL List The REDIAL list on the main screen stor es up to 15 recently dialed numbers. A scroll bar appears when more than five entries are availabl e for selection.
14 Avaya 1010/1020 User Guide Placing a Call from the Directory The directory stores a list of names and numbers from which you can place calls. The directory inc ludes two subdirectories: the lo cal and corporate directories. The corporate directory is read only and manag ed by your administrator .

18 Avaya 1010/1020 User Guide Caller ID When your video call is answered, video from the fa r end appears in your display . In the upper-lef t corner of the far video image, the caller ID (phone num ber or IP address) of the far end system appears.

The bl ue camera icon appears in the far end video ima ge in the call. Y ou can choose the far end input device to control by pressing the input button on the remote control.
Avaya 1010/1020 User Guide 25 Viewing Call S t atistics T o view statistical information about a call, follow these steps: 1. During a call, pre ss th e bu tto n. 2. Audio and vi deo statistics for the curre nt call appear on the screen. T wo columns of statistics, Receive and T ransmit appear .

Avaya 1010/1020 User Guide 27 Locking and Unlocking Entries in the REDIAL List Y ou can lock and unlock entr ies in the RED IAL list. Locking an entry prevent s it from being removed af ter the maximum nu mber of entries in the list has been reached. The lo ck symbol appears next to th e name in the entry when the entry is selected.

Avaya 1010/1020 User Guide 59 5 Upgrade script failed Af ter the image has been successfully uploaded the system runs an upgrade script for final proces sing. This err or indicates a failure in that script. This typi cally occurs when using an upgrade image for another Avaya product.
