Using V oice Dial Use the V oice Dial command to dial any number stored in your Contacts li st by sa ying the name of th e conta ct (Name Dialing).

46 Section 3 Calls Log The Calls log retains information about O utgoing, Incoming, and Missed calls. Y ou can also view times fo r your last call and the time totals for all calls. Review the Calls Log 1. In standby mode, press the Men u (left) soft key ( ).

Press the Reset (left) soft key ( ) to reset a selected counter except Lifetime Calls.

74 Section 5 T ext Entry Modes Y ou can compose text messages using alphabetical characters, symbols, and n umbers. Each method of character entry (symbol, nu mber , and so on) is called a text entr y mode. There ar e four text entry modes, as indicated: • Alpha —Alphabe tical text entr y mode.

80 Section 6 Y our Contacts List Y our Contacts list can store up to 500 numbers, with each contact having up to five asso ci ated phone numbers, an email address, and a picture ID. Each phone number can be up to 32 digits in length, including har d pauses.

88 Section 6 Search by Number This option lets you find a Co ntacts list entry by one of its phone numbers. 1. In standby mode, enter th e first few num bers of the Contacts list entr y yo u wish to find (such as the area code or area code and e xchange — for ex ample, 888- 987).

Find the desired entry in the Contacts list. (See “F inding a Contacts Entry” on pa ge 84 for more information.

Tip : Y ou can enter multiple two-second pauses to extend the length of a pause. For example, two consecutive two-second pauses caus e a total pause time of four seconds.
