15 14 Using the battery . Y our Phone comes with a partially charg ed, r echarg e- able Lithium Ion (Li-ion) Batter y so that you can use your phone immediatel y after it is activated.
17 16 T urning your Phone on and off. When you’ re ready to turn your phone on, fully e xtend the antenna for best r eception. Press and hold until the LED comes on and the phone beeps. When the phone has found a signal, the icon appears. Once the phone is on, it enter s Standby mode, which is the phone’ s idle state.
19 18 Basic functions. Making a call. T o place a call: 1. Press and hold to power on y our Phone. If you see indicators on the display , this indicates your phone is on. Note that you will not hear a dial tone. 2. Enter the phone number (up to 32 digits) by pressing the digit keys.
21 20 Automatic hyphenation. A utomatic hyphenation f ollows the North Amer ican Numbering Plan, which h yphenates number s as follo ws: 800-555-1234 Digits follo wing a pause are not hyphenated (see “P ause Dialing. ” on pa ge 62). Where you can use your phone.

25 24 Using Three-Way Calling. Three-W ay Calling lets you conduct conf erence calls with two differ ent parties at the same time. When you use this f eature, you will be charg ed normal air- time rates f or each of the tw o calls you make. The phone records eac h party into the Outgoing Calls Log.
27 26 Displaying your own phone number . The phone number of your Phone displa ys every time you turn on your phone. At other times, y ou can display y our phone number from the Main Menu. T o view y our phone number from Standby mode: 1. Press to display the Main Menu.

In addition to functioning as a normal alar m clock, the alarm can also be used to remind you to call a certain person or phone number . 73 72 Resetting your phone. Resetting the phone erases all Internal Phone Book entries, V oicemail, numeric pages, text messages, call logs, special number s, and returns all saved options to the default settings. T o reset the phone: 1. Press to display the Main Menu.
