S y stem Setup English - 32 EP Mode Time Setting Y ou can select one of four recording modes by pressing the REC MODE button repeatedly . EP mode is one of four REC Mode (XP , SP , LP , EP). In EP(Extended Play) mode, you can set recording time t o 6 or 8 hours with this setting.

S y stem Setup English - 36 V -Mode Compa tibility This feature is about the setup for selecting audios when recording the Dual STEREO (Multi-audio) broadcasting on HDD. It does not a ect to the direct DVD recording of a programme . O : Both “Dual L ” and “Dual R ” of the multi-audio broadcasting are recor ded on HDD.

S y stem Setup English - 38 HDMI cable does not support 576i. V ideo with 576i resolution can only be viewed through the analogue outputs ( Composite/S-V ideo/ Component). Even if HDMI cable is connected to y our T V , the A V connection outputs only 576i and the component connection outputs only 576P irrespective of the on-screen displa y.

R ecording English - 66 Recor ding Mode Select one of four recording modes by pressing the REC MODE button repeatedly while the unit is in Stop mode for the desired recording time and picture quality . In general, picture quality improves as the recording time decreases.
R ecording English - 67 Unrec ordable pic tures Video with c opy protection cannot be recorded on this HDD & DVD Recorder . When the HDD & DVD Rec order receives a copy - guard signal while recording , recording stops and the following message appears on the screen.

R ecording English - 69 Pr ess the REC button. Information concerning the external input mode is display ed on the screen, then rec ording begins. Icon( ) is displa yed on the front panel. T o pause recording Pr ess the REC P A USE button to pause a recor ding in progress.
R ecording English - 70 C opying from a Camc order SXCVKL Y ou may control the Camcorder using the IEEE1394 (D V ) inter face . Connect the DV output jack of your camcorder t o the DV input jack on the front of your HDD & DVD Rec order using a DV cable.
R ecording English - 71 Making a One T ouch Recording ( OTR) SXCVKL Y ou can set the HDD & DVD Rec order to record in 30-minute increments up to 8 hours by pressing the REC button. Pr ess the HDD or DVD button. If you select DVD, pr ess the OPEN/CL OSE button and place a recor dable disc on the disc tray .
R ecording English - 72 Simultaneous Recor ding and Playback S Y ou can play back from the beginning of the programme you are currently recording . Y ou can watching the pre vious title list while recording a programme. Using the PLA Y ( ) button With the unit in r ecording mode, press the PLA Y ( ) button.
R ecording English - 73 No sound is heard during search mode . DVD disc or HDD playback is available during HDD r ecording. Howev er , JPEG, MP3, and DivX les in the disc cannot be played back. HDD playback is available during DVD r ecording. Ho wever , JPEG and MP3 les in the HDD cannot be played back.
R ecording English - 74 Making a T imer Recording SXCVKL Check the antenna cable is connected. Check the remaining time of the disc. Check the date and time are c orrect. Make sure the Clock (Setup-Clock Set) must be set before you proceed with a timer r ecording.
R ecording English - 75 When you are r ecording at EP mode on a DVD-R W( V mode)/-R disc, it may not recor d the full 6 or 8 hours because the unit uses the VBR( Variable Bit Rate) ENC ODING system. F or example, if you recor d a programme with a lot of action, it uses a higher bit rate which in turn consumes more disc memory .
R ecording English - 76 Editing the Scheduled List Follo w these directions to edit the S cheduled List. N Using the TIMER button With the unit in Stop mode , press the TIMER button. Pr ess the OK or ► button to select Scheduled List . Pr ess the ▲▼ buttons to select the number of the Scheduled List you want to edit, then press the OK button.
