4 SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES Ensur e handle is mount ed in accordan ce with the assem- bly instructions in this manual. Do not attach blade without proper installation of all required parts. Failure to use proper parts can cause the blade to fly off and seriously injure the operator and/or bystanders.

6 FEA TURES KNOW YOUR BRUSHCUTTER A TT ACHMENT See Figure 1. The safe use of this product r equires an understanding of the information on the tool and in this operator’ s manual as well as a knowledge of the pr oject you are attempting. Befor e use of this pr oduct, familiarize yourself with all operating features and safety rules.

8 ASSEMBL Y After assembly is complete, adjust the position of the handle for best balance and comfort. Tighten the long bolt, then the short bolt. INST ALLING THE SHOULDER HARNESS AND STRAP HANGER See Figure 4. Pull apart the ends of the shoulder harness hanger to expand slightly.
9 OPERA TION Adjust the shoulder har ness to position the brushcutter at a comfortable operating position and to ensure that the shoulder har ness will reduce the risk of operator contact with the blade. Ensure the blade has come to a complete stop before setting the brushcutter down.
10 WARNING: When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage. WARNING: Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields during tool operation. If operation is dusty , also wear a dust mask.
