4 n Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces when per- forming an operation where the cutting tool may con- tact hidden wiring. Contact with a “live” wire will also make exposed metal parts of the tool “live” and shock the operator. n Know your power tool.
5 n An extension cord should not be used unless absolutely necessary. Use of improper extension cord could result in a risk of fire and electric shock. If extension cord must be used, make sure: a . SWITCH TRIGGER The switch trigger is conveniently located under the handle. Pulling the switch trigger will fire one brad or staple at a time.
10 OPERA TION NOTE: Batteries will not r each full char ge the first time they are charged. Allow several cycles (operation followed by rechar ging) for them to become fully charged. CHARGING A COOL BA TTERY P ACK If battery pack is within normal temperature range, the red LED on char ger will come on.
11 OPERA TION CHARGING A HOT BA TTERY P ACK When using the tool continuously , the batteries in the battery pack will become hot. Y ou should let a hot battery pack cool down for approximately 30 minutes before attempting to rechar ge.
