About this microwa ve oven Microw av es are high-frequenc y electr omagnetic wa ves similar to radio wa ves. Wh ile radio wa ves may vary in length from one metre to many kilometres, micr owa ves are very short (less than 12 .5 centimetres). Microw av es do not mak e any heat themselves but only cause water molecules in f ood to vibrate.
Unpacking your microw av e oven Bef ore you use your micr owa ve oven 1. Remove all the packaging. Do not remove the small piece of car d from the right hand side of the c a vity wall. This is called a wa ve-guide cover and allows the microw av es to pass through to cook the f ood.
Saf ety instructions Do not use the ove n fo r any reason other than pre paring f ood, such as for drying clothes, pap er or any other non-food it ems, or for s terilising purposes. ➢ Do not use the oven when it is em pty . This could damage the ov en.
Saf ety instructions ➢ Heat from the cont ents of a cont ainer may be transmi tted to the contai ner itself , so please be car eful when removing it from the oven. Please remember that the fo od or liquid inside will be r eleasing some s team or will be spi tting.
Saf ety instructions ➢ Food c ontai ning a mix ture of fa t and w ater (f or ex ample, stock) should s tan d for 30 to 60 seconds in the oven afte r it has been tur ned off . This is to allow the mixture to settle and to pr event it fr om bubbling when a spoon is placed in it, or a stock cube is added.

Microwa ve oven installation ➢ Select a level surface that provides enough space for the outlet vents. ➢ A minimum clear ance of 7.5 cm is required between the oven and an y adjacent walls. One side must be open. Leav e a minimum clearance of 30 cm above the oven.

How to use the microwa ve oven 15 Connect the main plug into a suitable 13 amp mains sock et, mak e sure the voltag e is the same as on the r ating label (do not use extension cables or mains sock et adaptors). T he micr owa ve oven will beep once and the displa y will show ‘0:00’ .

22 Time dela y cooking Time delay cooking This timing function allow s you to set the micro wa ve to start cooking at a pre-set time. The clock must be set bef ore you use this f eature. For example: The curre nt time is 16 : 30 and you want to s tart cooking at 18 .
23 Timer and child saf ety lock Timer If you do not set the power and cooking time and inst ead directly press the sta rt button once y ou h a ve prog ram med the time dela y then the appliance will not switch on and will only work as an alarm clock. The micr owa ve will beep 10 times at the pr ogrammed time then rev ert back to the current time.
Cleaning and c are ➢ Bef ore y ou clean the oven, turn it off and unplug it. ➢ Keep the insi de of the oven clean. When f ood or liqui ds stick to the oven walls, w ipe with a damp cloth. We recommend that y ou do not use harsh det ergent or abr asives.
Cleaning and c are ➢ Regularly remove the glass turntable to clean it, and wash it in w arm soap y w ater . ➢ Regularly clean the turn table support and oven floor . Simp ly wipe the bot tom surf ace of the oven with mild deter ge nt and water , then dry .
