About this microwa ve ov en Microw av es are high-frequenc y electr omagnetic wa ves similar to radio wa v es. Wh ile radio wa ves may vary in length from one metre to many kilometres, micr owa ves are very short (less than 12 .5 centimetres). Microw av es do not mak e an y heat themselves but only cause water molecules in f ood to vibrate.
Unpacking your microw av e oven Bef ore you use your micr owa ve oven 1. Remove all the packaging. Do not remove the small piece of car d from the right hand side of the c a vity wall. This is called a wa ve-guide cover and allows the microw av es to pass through to cook the f ood.
Saf ety instructions Do not use the ove n fo r any reason other than pre paring f ood, such as for drying clothes, pap er or any other non-food it ems, or for s terilising purposes. ➢ Do not use the oven when it is em pty . This could damage the oven.
Saf ety instructions ➢ Heat from the cont ents of a cont ainer may be transmi tted to the contai ner itself , so please be car eful when removing it from the oven. Please remember that the fo od or liquid inside will be r eleasing some s team or will be spi tting.
Saf ety instructions ➢ Food c ontai ning a mix ture of fa t and w ater (f or ex ample, stock) should s tand for 30 to 60 seconds in the oven afte r it has been tur ned off . T his is to allow the mixture to settle and to pr event it fr om bubbling when a spoon is placed in it, or a stock cube is added.

Microwa ve ov en installation ➢ Select a level surfac e that provides enough space for the outlet vents. ➢ A minimum clear ance of 7.5 cm is required between the oven and an y adjacent walls. One side must be open. Leav e a minimum clearance of 30 cm above the oven.

11 T urn table installation ➢ Before first use, check that any securing tape has been removed from the g lass tray and turntable ring assembly. These parts must nev er be restri cted from rotating. ➢ Never place the g lass tray up side down. ➢ Both the glass tray a nd turntable ring assemb ly must always be used durin g cooking.

How to use the microwa ve oven 13 Setting the clock With the oven ready for in put, press the CLOCK button. Press the CANCEL bu tton Use the number pad to enter the correct time. The clock is a 12hr version. Press at least three numbers to set the clock.
How to use the microwa ve oven 14 Single Stage cooking To cook with microwave power alone, press the TIME button and then in put the cooking time using the nu mber keypad. In put the minutes and seco nds in succession. The maximum cooking time is 99 minutes and 99 seconds.
15 How to use the microwa ve oven Dual sta ge cooking Certain recipes require the food to be cooked at different power levels for different periods of time. Setting the first stage coo king Follow the single stage cooking procedure, but at the end of the programming, do n ot press the start b utton.
16 How to use the microwa ve oven Pre-set You can pre-set the oven to start cookin g at a later time. For example, if the current time is 2.30pm, you can set the oven to start at 4.30pm and cook for 20 minutes. 1 Press the 'Pre-set' key pad.
Two stage cooking can also be chosen in the pre-set setting . For example, if the current time is 2.30pm, you can set the oven to start at 4.30pm an d cook for 20 minutes on one power level and then for 10 minutes on another power level. 1 Press the 'Pre-set' key pad.
How to use the microwa ve oven Express This function has 4 settings for fast heating at 100% high power. For example, if you want to heat food for 15 seconds, press the 'Express' key pad once and then press the 'Start' key pad.
How to use the microwa ve oven Weight defro st You can also defrost food according to the weight. There are 3 settings in thi s function, meat, poultry and seafood. For example, to defrost 600g of prawns. 1 Press the 'Weight defrost' key pad 3 times, the display will show the weight d efrost symbol and 'd 3'.
20 How to use the microwa ve oven Program coo king You can program the oven to defrost food using either the jet defrost or weight defrost and then cook the food. To defrost for 25 minutes and cook for 10 minutes. Using the Jet defrost function 1 Press the 'Jet defrost' key pad.
21 How to use the microwa ve oven The food will now defrost for 25 minutes and then cook for 10 minutes, when the program has finished the oven will beep three times and continue to beep every 2 minutes until the door is opened or the 'Cancel' key pad is pressed.
22 Child Saf ety Lock Child safety lo ck To prevent chi ldren using the microwave oven, the safety lock can be set. 1 To set the child lock, Press and hold the 'Cancel' key pad for 3 seconds. This lock symbol will be displayed and the oven will beep.
Cleaning and c are ➢ Bef ore y ou clean the oven, turn it off and unplug it. ➢ Keep the inside of the oven clean. When foo d or liquids stick to the oven w alls, wipe with a damp cloth. We recommend that y ou do not use harsh deter gent or abr asives.
Cleaning and c are ➢ Regularly remove the glass turntable to clean it, and wash it in warm soapy w ater . ➢ Regularly clean the turn table support and oven floor . Simply wipe the bottom surf ace of the ove n with mild det erg ent and w ater , then d ry .
Important utensil inf ormation ➢ Do not use metal pans or dishes with metal handles. ➢ Do not use anything with a metal trim. ➢ Do not use paper cov ered wire twis t-ties on plastic bags. ➢ Do not use melamin e dishes as they con tain a material w hich will absorb microwa v e energy .
