About this microwa ve oven Microw av es are high-frequenc y electr omagnetic wa ves similar to radio wa ves. Wh ile radio wa ves may vary in length from one metre to many kilometres, micr owa ves are very short (less than 12 .5 centimetres). Microw av es do not mak e any heat themselves but only cause water molecules in f ood to vibrate.
Unpacking your microw av e oven Bef ore you use your micr owa ve oven 1. Remove all the packaging. Do not remove the small piece of car d from the right hand side of the c a vity wall. This is called a wa ve-guide cover and allows the microw av es to pass through to cook the f ood.
Saf ety instructions Do not use the ove n fo r any reason other than pre paring f ood, such as for drying clothes, pap er or any other non-food it ems, or for s terilising purposes. ➢ Do not use the oven when it is em pty . This could damage the ov en.

Saf ety instructions ➢ Food c ontai ning a mix ture of fa t and w ater (f or ex ample, stock) should s tan d for 30 to 60 seconds in the oven afte r it has been tur ned off . This is to allow the mixture to settle and to pr event it fr om bubbling when a spoon is placed in it, or a stock cube is added.

Microwa ve oven installation ➢ Select a level surfac e that provides enough space for the outlet vents. ➢ A minimum clear ance of 7.5 cm is required between the oven and an y adjacent walls. One side must be open. Leav e a minimum clearance of 30 cm above the oven.

11 T urn t able ins tallation ➢ Before first use, check th at any se curing tape has been removed from the glas s tray and turntable ring assembl y. These parts must never be restricted from rotating . ➢ Never place the g lass tray up side down. ➢ Both the glass tray and turntable ring assem bly must always be used during cooking.
Control panel 12 DISPLAY Cooking time, p ower, action indicators, and clock time are displayed. POWER Press this button a number of times to set a cooking powe r level. WEIGHT DEFROST Press to choose the defrost function. CLOCK Press to set the time. TIMER Press this button to set the kitchen tim er.
How to use the microwa ve oven 13 Connect the main plug into a suitable 13 amp mains socket, make sure the voltage is the same as on the rating label (do not use extension cables or mains socket ad aptors). The microwave oven will beep once and the display will show the clock symbol and ,’1:01’.
Cooking 14 The longest cooking tim e is 60 minutes. To cook with microwave power alone, press the ‘POWER’ button a number of times to select a cooking power level, and then use the ‘TIME/WEIGHT’ dial to set a desired cooking time. Press the ‘START’ bu tton to start the cooking process.
15 Quick sta rt cooking This program allows you to cook fo od at 100% power. Place the food in a container suitable for use with microwave ovens an d put it into the microwave o ven.

19 Child saf ety loc k Child safety lock This function is to prevent children from using the microwave o ven. To activa te the child lock, press and hold the 'L ock/Un lock' but ton for 3 seconds. You will hear a beep and the lock sym bol will be disp layed.
Cleaning and c are ➢ Bef ore y ou clean the oven, turn it off and unplug it. ➢ Keep the insi de of the oven clean. When f ood or liqui ds stick to the oven walls, w ipe with a damp cloth. We recommend that y ou do not use harsh det ergent or abr asives.
