9 RF-WHP212-A Docking station back Setting up your sy stem Installing or replacing headphone batt eries The headphones are po wered by two AAA rechargeable batteries. Both batteries ar e housed in the lef t earpiece. Notes : Mak e sure that the batter ies are installed correctly .
10 T o install batteries in the headphones: 1 Hold the left earpiece in one hand with the battery compar tment facing up , then slide the battery compar tment latch to the right. 2 Remove the batt er y compar tment lid. 3 Insert both AAA batteries in to the batter y compar tment.
11 RF-WHP212-A 4 Close the batt er y compar tment by engaging the pins in the batter y compartment cover with the groov es in the top of the earpiece, then shutting the batt er y compar tment until it clicks int o place.
12 The f ollowing diagram show s a t ypi cal user installation. In this example the docking station is connected to the audio output of a T V and the audio input of a stereo system (optional).
13 RF-WHP212-A C o nnecting the A C adapter to the docking station Cau ti ons : T o avoid risk of fi re and to prevent damage , only use the AC adapter supplied with your wi reless headphones. Mak e sure that the AC power outlet ma tches the A C adapter ’ s 100-240V before making the connection.
14 • When the headphones are fully char ged (which takes about four hours), the docking station CHARGING indicator turns green. • When the headphone battery charge is low , the POWER/P AIRING indicator on the headphones blinks red. The POWER/P AIRING indicator on the headphones turns red 30 minutes prio r to the batteries being exhausted.
15 RF-WHP212-A Notes : If the charge on the headphone batteries is low , the POWER/P AIRING indicator on the headphones blinks red . When this happ ens, y o u should charge the headphones. F or instructions, see “Charging the headphones“ on page 13.
16 3 P ut your headphones on your head. Adjust the fit until y ou feel c omfortable. 4 T urn on your audio source and begin playback. Depending on the audio source , you may need to turn up the volume on the audio source . 5 A djust the headphone volume to your normal listening level.
