- E3 - SYSTEM CONNECTIONS IMPORT ANT Switch off the pow er before connecting speakers and other equipment. SPEAKER CORD CONNECTION Connect the wires with the printed red lines to the red (+) ter minals and the plain-b lack wires to the blac k (-) ter minals.

- E6 - T O USE THE X-BASS Press the X-BASS button to adjust the bass . ADJUSTING THE SOUND X-BASS is designed specifically to boost the low frequency sound to obtain a more powerful bass . T O ADJUST THE VOLUME Press the V OLUME / buttons to adjust the sound.
- E7 - 1. Press the MEMOR Y/ CLOCK b utton in clock mode . Hours flash. 2. Press the HOUR button ( or ) repeatedly to set current hour . T o set the current time (Select PO WER ST ANDBY mode) 3. Press the MEMOR Y/ CLOCK button to make the correct min utes flash.
- E8 - 1. Press the SLEEP button while the pow er is on. "SLEEP 90" lights in the displa y . NO TE: SLEEP can only be adjusted in TUNER, T APE and A UX modes. 2. Press and hold the SLEEP button to select the length of remaining time until the unit turns off.
- E9 - FOR BETTER RECEPTION FM Fully unwind the wire antenna. Then extend the wire antenna and place it in the position that sounds best. NO TE: Do not connect to outside antenna. AM/MW Connect the loop aer ial (provided) to the 'AM/MW LOOP ANTENNA' snap ter minals at the back of the unit.
- E10 - PRESET TUNING 1. Press the FUNCTION b utton to TUNER. 2 . Press the BAND button to select the a band. 3. Press the PRESET buttons to preset number .
- E11 - 1. Press the FUNCTION button to CD . 2. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the disc tr ay . 7. Press the PLA Y/P AUSE b utton to star t pla yback and the " " will be displa y ed. 8 . T o stop pla ying: (a) for a moment only, press PLAY/PAUSE button and ' ' will be displayed.
- E12 - Notes: 1. During playback, disc tray can be opened to change/add disc and the current disc playback will not be interrupted but DISC SKIP button will become invalid. 2. The / SKIP buttons can only be used to choose a track of the current disc.
- E13 - Notes: 1. The random function shuffles all the tr acks of all discs in the disc tra y and randomly selects one trac k to play each time . 2 . The play er will skip to a new randomly selected trac k and star t playing if SKIP button is pressed during random playback.
- E14 - REPEA T PLA YBA CK DURING PLAYBACK MODE To Repeat the Current Track • Press the REPEA T button until REPEA T ONE ap- pears on the display and the currently pla ying trac k will be pla yed repeatedly until the STOP b utton is pressed. • SKIP and SEARCH can still be used dur ing this func- tion.
- E15 - 1 . Press the MEMOR Y/ CLOCK button (in stop mode). 2 . Press the DISC SKIP b utton to select the desired disc (the disc symbol ( ) shows which disc is selected). 3 . Press the / SKIP buttons to select the desired tra ck. 5 . T o add additional trac ks, Repeat steps 2 to 4.
- E16 - To stop programmed play for a moment: • Press the PLAY/PAUSE button and " " will be displayed. Press this button again to resume playing.

Press the FUNCTION button to T APE. 2. Press the STOP/EJECT b utton and load a cassette into the cassette compar tment of Deck A or Dec k B.
