2.1 “Power On” Indicator Power On indicator illuminates w hen utility power’s condition is normal. 2.2 “ BACKUP ” indicator The indicator illuminates w hen the power is supplied from the batteries. 2.3 “Battery Fault ” Indicator This illu minates indicating weak battery.
3. I NST ALLA TION Inspect t he UPS upon rece ipt. T he packaging is re cyclable ; keep it fo r reuse or di sposed of properly. 3.1 Recharge the battery UPS may be use d by anyone imm ediately upo n receipt. T he battery is fully charged bef ore shipped fr om the factory.

4. O PERA TIO N 4.1 Simple test It is reco mmended that t he user perf orm a simu lation test w hen using UPS for the f irst time or when adding an additional piece of equipm ent. Conduct a simulat i on-t est: first, switch on UPS and wait for t he pow er indicator to light up, then si mply unp lug UPS to simu late the event of utility failure.

S OFTW A RE A ND C OMPUTER I NTERF A CE 5.1 Power Monitoring Softw are The UPSMO N series software (or other p ower monitor ing software) is ap plied standa rd RS-232 interfa ce to perfor m monitoring functions, and then p rovides an or derly shut down of a computer in th e event of po wer failure.
6. B A TTER Y C AB I N E T 6.1 Battery ’s life of UPS The battery’s life of U PS is about 3-6 years under normal usage. 6.2 Battery Replacement Once the U PS’s battery is no lon ger usef ul and must be repla ced. Please c all the s ervice personnel to replace it.
