3 Congratulations for selecting the new PROFORM ® GR 8 0 exercise cycle. Cycling is one of the most effective e xercises for increasing cardiovascular fitness, building endurance, and toning the body .
4 ASSEMBL Y Assembly requires two persons. Place all parts of the exercise cycle in a cleared area and remove the packing m aterials. Do not dispose of the packing materials until assembly is completed. In addition to the included tools, assembly requires a Phillips screwdriver and t w o adjustable wrenches .
5 3. Attach one of the Seat Frames (7) to the Handlebar (6) with an M8 x 70mm Button Bolt (54), an M8 Split W asher (59), and an M8 Nylon Locknut (60). Do not tighten the Button Bolt yet. Attach the other Seat Frame (7) in the same way . 7 6 60 54 59 4.

7 9 25 24 T ab 31 13 36 8 8. Connect the Upper Wire Harness (36) to the Lower Wire Harness (65). Attach the Upright (13) to the F rame (1) with three M8 x 25mm Button Screws (33) and three M8 Split W ashers (59). Be careful to avoid p inching the Wire Harnesses.
8 HOW T O OPERA TE THE EXERCISE CYCLE FEA TURES OF THE CONSOLE The advanced console offers a selection of features designed to make your workouts more enjoyable and effective. When the manual mode of the console is selected, the resistance of the pedals can be changed with the touch of a button.
9 M onitor your progress with the disp lay . The upper half of the display will show the elapsed time, the distance you have pedaled, a nd the resistance level of the pedals.
10 H OW TO USE A PULSE PROGRAM Pulse program 1 is designed to keep your heart rate within a set range during your workout. Pulse program 2 is designed to keep your heart rate near a target heart rate setting that you select. Follow the steps below to use a pulse program.

12 Inspect and properly tighten all parts of the exercise cycle regularly . Replace any worn parts immediately . T o clean the exercise cycle, use a damp cloth and a small amount of liquid dish soap. Important: T o avoid damage to the console, keep liquids away from the console and keep the console out of direct sunlight.
13 CONDITIONING GUIDELINES The following guidelines will help you to plan your exercise program. Remember that proper nutrition and adequate rest are essential for successful results.
