3 T o Attac h Helper Handle to Cooker Body 1. Locate bag containing short helper handle. T ake out handle and remov e tape on handle which is holding scre w in place. Remov e screw from handle and set aside. 2. W ith the pressure cooker body upside do wn on table or counter (Fig.
4 W ash sealing ring, cov er , body , and cooking rack (Fig. C) in hot, sudsy water to remov e any packaging material and white manufacturing lubricant. Rinse all parts with warm w ater and dry . Then, replace the sealing ring, being careful to t it under the stop tabs and the lock pin (Fig.

T o remove the air v ent /c ov er lock, place your nger ov er the hole in the cov er handle (Fig. N) and remove the white rubber gask et from the air vent /cover lock on the underside of the co ver (Fig.

It should stop when pressure be gins to build and the ov erpressure plug and air vent/cov er lock seal. If leakage continues, clean or replace the ov erpressure plug and/or air vent/cov er lock assembly .
9 If after bro wning meat or poultry the cov er is difcult to close, it may be due to expansion of the pressure cook er body from heating. Remov e the cover and allo w the pressure cooker body to cool slightly and try again. Do not place the pressure cooker back on the b urner until it is fully closed.
