Control P anel 9 Hob Hot neon 6 button Timer (Main Oven only) In common with all cook ers having controls sited above the gril l compartment, care must be taken when setting the controls, due to the hot air expelled from the grill compartment. Note: Aft er use, it is advisable t o check that all cooker controls have been switched Off .
Clock/Minute Minder Operation (61DC & ARC60) 10 CL OCKF ACE The timer incorporates a 24 hour clock. SYMBOLS A ‘Bell’ symbol will light up when you select a M inute Minder P e riod and will remain lit for the period set. At the end of the Minute Minder Period , the timer will emit an audible tone and the ‘Bell’ symbol will flash.
11 Clock/Minute Minder Operation (61DC & ARC60) Here you can set a time period of up to 10 hours , that will coun t down. When it reaches zero , the timer will emit an audible t one. For Example: If you set 20 minutes, the audible tone will occur 20 minutes later .
12 Oven Timer Operation (C367E & C368E) The oven timer off ers you the follo wing features: 1. Time of Day 2. Automatic C ooking 3. Minute Minder The Main Oven (only) can be controlled by the automa tic timer . When the timer control has been set f or one oven it is possible to use the other oven manually .

The display will read 0.00 with the ‘ cookpot ’ symbol lit / flash ing ‘ Auto ’ symbol. Step 4 With the C ook Period button still held in, set the required Cook Per io d using the “+” and “–” buttons.

When cooking Automatically the Cook P eriod can be checked at an y time simply by pr essing the Cook Period button. 2. Ceramic Hob 19 Heating only occurs within the marked circular cooking zones. Th e zones heat up and cool down quicker , providing greater controllability f or sensitive f oods. Each heating z one is equipped with a thermal limiter which is a saf ety cut-out which prevents the ceramic glass f rom overheating.
20 Care of the C eramic Hob In order to keep your ceramic hob in good condition, f ollow thes e simple guidelines: Do not stare at halogen heating unit s. Do not cook directly on the hob surf ace without a cooking utensil, as this will result in damage to the sur f ace of the hob.
21 Care of the C eramic Hob (c ontinued) Saf ety requirements for deep f at frying IMPORT ANT: As with any cooking appliance there could be some fire risk attached to the heating of oil, particularly f or deep f at frying. Cooking utensils containing oil must not be left unattended (eg.
Grill Pan and Handle 22 Grill pan handle The grill pan handle is detachable f rom the pan, to f acilitate c leaning and storage. The handle can be either detachable f rom or fixed to the pan.

‘S’ SL OW setting “Slow” cook is identified as ‘S’ on the oven temperature scale. This is used f or slow cooking, k eeping f ood warm and w arming pla t es f or short periods. E xtra care should be taken when warming bone china, as it may be damaged in a hot oven.
1. Plastic or nylon pads 2. Household abrasive powders and scourers. These may scratch the surf ace. 3. Oven chemical cleaners, aerosols and oven pads. Caustic cleaners such as these will etch the surf ace and attack the metal f rame. 4 . Bath and sink cleaners may mark the sur f ace.
Care and Cleaning 31 Ceramic hotplates: Clean your Ceramic hob top regularly and avoid repeated burning of encrust ed contamination. Y our choice of cleaner will depend on the degree of soiling invol ved (see below).
Ref er to the instructions below f or cleaning the ‘Stay clean’ panels. The sur f aces of the ‘Stay clean’ oven liners are treated on the mottled f ace with a special vitreous enamel which absorbs cooking soils. At temperatures of 220˚C (425˚F) or above, the special surf ace enables these soils t o be slowly destroyed.
Remove the grill pan and the wire grid f ood support, it is best to w ash these items immediately after use to prevent stains f rom being burnt on when used again . Wipe out the Grill compartment, use a fine steel wool soap pad to remove stubborn s tains f rom the floor of the compartment.
Care and Cleaning 34 Tak e particular care not to damage the inner surf ace of the door inner glass that is coated with a heat reflective layer . Do not use scouring pads, or abrasiv e powder , which will scratch the glass. Ensure that the glass panel is not subjected to any sharp mechanical blows.
