4 NOTE: When per forming the f ollowing s tep, be sur e the star ter rope is not caught under the c able clamps . The sta rter rope must hang freely t o operate pr operly . 8 Make adjus tments with t he unit s upported so the c utting attac hment is off the ground and will not mak e contac t w ith any objec t. Hold the unit by hand w hile running and making ad- just ments. K eep all part s of y our body away from the cut ting attac hment and muf fler .
9 TROUBLE CAUSE REMEDY Engine will not sta rt. 1. Engine flooded. 2. Fuel tank empty. 3. Spark plug not firing. 4. Fuel not reac hing car buretor . 5. Carbur etor requires adjust ment. 1. See “ Starting a Flooded Engine” in Oper ation Section. 2. Fill tank with c orrec t fuel mixt ure.
