14 S Operat e the engine at full t hrottle. S Hold the tr immer head parallel to and abov e the gras sy area. S T ap the bottom of the trimmer head li ghtly on the groun d one time. Appr oximate ly 2 inc hes (5 c m) of line w ill be adv anc ed wit h eac h tap .

18 CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT WAR NI N G: K eep others away w hen making idle s peed adjust ments. The c hain will be mov ing during most of this proc edur e. Wear your protec tiv e equipment and obs erv e all saf ety pr ecaut ions. After mak ing adjust- ments, the c hain must not mov e at idle speed.
