Remo ve objects (rocks, broken glass, nails , wire, et c.) whic h can be thrown by or become ent angled in line. Hard objects can damage trim mer head and be thrown causing serious injury .
4 FUEL Y OUR UNIT W ARNING: Remo ve fuel cap slowly when refueling. This engine is c ertified to operat e on un- leaded gas oline. Gasoline mus t be m ixed with a good qual ity 2 - - cycle air- - cooled engine oil des igned to be mixed at a ratio of 40:1.
5 S Squeeze and hold the throttle trigger. K eep throttl e trigger fully squeez ed until the en- gine runs s moothly . S Pull starter rope sharply unti l engi ne runs, but no m ore than 5 pulls. S Allow engi ne t o run 15 seconds, then move the choke lever to the OFF C HOKE position.
6 TROUBLE CA USE REMEDY Engine will not start. S Engine flooded. S Fuel tank empt y. S Spark plug not f iring. S Fuel not reaching carburetor . S Carburetor requires adjus tment. S See “Start ing.” S Fill tank with correct fuel m ixture. S Inst all new s park plug.
