A firm grip will help you reduce kick back and m aintain control of the saw. Keep the fingers of your lef t hand enc ir- cling and your left t humb under the front handlebar .

S Start at the top of the bar and fit chain i nto groove around the guide bar . S Pull the bar forward until the chai n is snug in the groove of t he bar.

8 FUEL ING & LUBRICAT ION W ARNING: Remove fuel cap slowly when refueling. FUELING ENGINE This engine is certifi ed to operate on unleaded gas oline. Before operati on, gasoline mus t be mi xed wit h a good quali ty synthe tic 2-cycle a ir- coole d engine oil designed to be mix ed at a ratio of 40:1.

11 NOTE: Before felling cut is c omplete, use wedges t o open the cut when necessary t o control the direction of fall. T o avoid kick back and chain damage, us e wood or plas tic wedges, but never steel or i ron wedges.
