Making toast 1. Plug the toaster into a 110/120V -pow er outlet and tur n the pow er on. 2. The toaster will onl y latch down when the cord is plugged in and the pow er tur ned on. 3. T o toast, set the toasting control to the desired setting (1 is the lightest setting and 5 is the dar kest setting) before engaging the toast lever .
Tips - Stale bread toasts more quickly than fresh bread. Therefore , set the toast setting dial to a low er setting. - When toasting 2 slices of bread, it is recommended that the slices are of equal size and freshness. - If you wish to reheat toast that has not been b uttered, set the toast setting dial to the first toast setting, no 1.
