9 — ENG RISK FROM LIFTING HAZARD HOW TO PREVENT IT WHA T COULD HAPPEN The generator is too heavy to be lifted by one person. Obtain assis- tance from others befor e you try to move it. Serious injury can result fr om attempt- ing to lift too heavy an object.

14 — ENG BEFORE ST AR T UP This generator has been shipped from the factory without oil in the crankcase. Operating the unit without oil can damage the engine. Always check engine oil level before every start. Running engine low of oil or out of oil could result in serious damage to the engine.
15 — ENG STOPPING ENGINE 1. Disconnect all electrical loads. 2. T ur n OFF/RUN/ST ART switch to "OFF" position. 3. Close fuel shut-off valve. CONNECTING ELECTRICAL LOADS 1. Let engine run and warm up for five minutes after starting with no electrical load.
16 — ENG 16 — ENG MAINTENANCE GENERAL RECOMMENDA TIONS The warranty of the generator does not cover items that have been subjected to operator abuse or negligence. T o receive full value from the warranty , operator must maintain the generator as instructed in this manual.
