Chapter 2-Additional Co nferencing I nformation 2-52 When cascading two conferences, the video layout displayed in the cascaded conference is determined by the selected layout in each of the two conferences. Each of the two conf erences will inheri t the video layout of the other conference in one of their windows.
P olycom RMX 2000/ 4000 Administrator’ s Guide 2-53 Enabling Cascading Cascading two conferences requires that the following procedure s are implemented: • Creating t he cascade-enabled Entry Queue A cascade-enabled Entry Queue must be created in the MCU hosting the destination conference (Conferen ce B).
Chapter 2-Additional Co nferencing I nformation 2-54 3 Define the standard Entry Queue parameters (as de scribed in Chapter 3). 4 In the Cascade field, select Master or Slave depending on the Master/ Slave relationship.
P olycom RMX 2000/ 4000 Administrator’ s Guide 2-55 Creating the Dial-o ut Cascaded Link The dial-out link (participant) is crea ted or added in the linked conference (Conference A).
Chapter 2-Additional Co nferencing I nformation 2-56 6 There are two methods to define the dialing string: A Using the MCU’ s IP Address and the Alias string.
P olycom RMX 2000/ 4000 Administrator’ s Guide 2-57 8 In the Cascade field, select: — Slave , if the par ticipant is defined in a conference running on a Slave MCU and will connect to th e Master MCU (in the center of the topology).
