1 C HAPTER 1 Your New Planar LCD Monitor Your New Planar LCD Monitor! Your New Planar LCD M onitor has been designed to be versatile, ergonomic and user-friendly. Your New Planar LCD Monitor i s capable of displaying m ost standards, from 640 x 480 VGA to 1024 x 768 XGA.
Planar User’s Manual 2 Your New Planar LCD Monitor — Front View 1. LCD Screen This is the LCD moni tor screen. It is a 15-inch diagonal , Acitve Matrix Liquid Cryst al Display (AMLC D). The screen is capable of supporting a maxim um resoluti on of 1024 x 768 (XGA).

Planar User’s Manual 6 Connecting the Optional Touch Screen (optional) Your LCD Monitor has an optional touch screen feature. If your LC D monitor has t his feature, connect t he LCD Monitor’s PS/2 connector to your PC ’s 9-pin RS232 serial port to enable t he touch screen.
7 C HAPTER 2 The Display Controls Your New Planar LCD Moni tor’s Display Controls This chapter covers y our New Planar LCD M onitor’s On Screen Display (OSD). Using the OSD, you c an adjust the contrast, brightness, display posit ion, display clarit y, and colo r temperat ure.

Due to output tim ing differenc es among various VGA cards, y ou may i nitially experience an unst able or unclear di splay when a new display m ode or new VGA card is sel ected.
