1 C HAPTER 1 The LCD Monitor Your new LCD Monitor! Your LCD Monitor has been designed to be versatile, ergonomic and user-friendly. The LCD Monitor is capable of displaying most standards, from 640 x 480 VGA to 1600 x 1200 UXGA. The digital controls located on the front panel allow th e user to easily adjust the Monitor’s display parameters.
Chapter 1 2 Identifying Components The LCD Monitor has been designed to provid e easy access to all contro ls and peripheral ports. The following figures will help you identify the LCD Monitor’s controls and ports. The LCD Monitor — Front View 1. Display Module The display is a 19-inch diag onal, Active Matrix Liqui d Crystal Displa y (AMLCD).

Input signal ports The monitor can accept signa l input from either a tra ditional analo g 15-pin D-S ub VGA connec tor or the 24- pin Digital Vid eo Interface (DVI ) connector. If both cables are connected, the PORT SELEC T button on the front of the monitor can se lect which input is displaye d.

6 C HAPTER 2 The Display Controls The LCD Monitor’s Display Controls The LCD Monitor features an intuitive, menu-dr iven, On-Screen Display (OSD). You can access the OSD any time when the PC is power ed on. If the PC is in a power saving mode, or is powered off, the OSD is ina ccessible.
