Preparation 9 Controls and displays Controls Using the { < } and { > } keys L The keys work as the speaker volume keys (p age 1 1). L Pressing the keys allows you to scroll through functio n menu (page 22). L Pressing the keys allows you to enter the caller list (page 18).
Preparation 10 Function keys ( { F1 } , { F2 } , { F3 } ) By pressing a function key , you can select the function displayed directly above it. L The functions displayed will vary depending on how you are us ing the unit. L When a function does not appear or is displayed above a function key , the function key will not work.

Phonebook 13 Using the phonebook The phonebook allow s you to make calls without having to dial manually . Y ou can add 100 names and phone numbers to the phonebook and search for phonebook entries by name. Adding items to the phonebook 1 Press {k} ( { F3 } key).

Phonebook 16 Chain dial feature This feat ure allows you to dial phone numbers from the phonebook while you are on a call. Example: Using a long distance calling card 1 Dial from the phonebook: 0800012345 (Calling card access number). 2 When prompted, dial from the phonebook: 1234 (Calling card PIN).
Caller ID Service 17 Using Caller ID service This unit is Caller ID compatible. T o use Caller ID features, you must subscribe to your telephone company’s Caller ID service. For New Zealand users For all local and national inco ming calls, your display will show the area code (e.
Caller ID Service 18 . Caller list Caller information for the l ast 50 different callers will be logg ed in the caller list. Y ou can use this list to return missed calls. L Caller informati on includes phone numbers, the date and ti me of calls, and the number of times the caller called.

Recording a Convers ation 26 Recording a conversation The total recording capacity is about 120 minutes. A maximum of 64 items can be recorded. L If 64 items have been recorded, conversation recording memory will become full even if the total recording time is less than 120 minutes.
