Caller ID Service This unit is compatible with a Caller ID service off ered by y our telephone company . After subscribing to a Caller ID ser vice, the calling party’ s phone number will be displa yed after the first ring. The unit can record the phone numbers of up to 50 diff erent callers in the Caller List.

34 For Optional Multi-Unit Users Operating More than One Handset Y ou can register and operate up to 6 handsets at the base unit. Oper ating more than one handset allows y ou to hav e an inter nal call while simultaneously conducting an e xter nal phone call using another handset.
- Chapter 4 35 Multi-Unit User Operations Registration Registering a Handset in the Base Unit Y ou must register the handset in the base unit bef ore use. 1 Base unit where handset is to be registered: Press and hold on the base unit for more than 10 seconds until the in use indicator ( ) lights and a confirmation tone sounds.
36 Selecting the Base Unit Access Automatic base unit access The handset automatically selects a registered base unit. • When the handset mov es to another base unit radio area, it loses contact with the pre vious base unit and automatically accesses the new base unit.
Chapter 4 37 Multi-Unit User Operations Cancelling a base unit If another handset is out of range and/or its power is OFF when “Cancelling a Handset”, the pre vious base unit number will still remain in the cancelled handset. Therefore , you need to cancel the base unit registered in the cancelled handset .
