STEP 1 Loosen side cover nuts an d remove side cover. STEP 3 Move chain adjuster pin back to wards drive sprocket by turning chain-tensi oning screw counter clock wise.

613GC OPERATOR’S MANUAL 12 OPERATION STARTING AND STOPPING A CHAI N-BASED CUT OFF SAW Never start a chain-based cut off saw without the guide bar, diamond chain and side cover properly assembled. The clutch may come loose and cause personal injury .
613GC OPERATOR’S MANUAL 13 OPERATION PRE-CUT CHECKLIST • Proper Diamond Chain Installation: Th e bumpe r should lead the segment into the cut. • Proper Diamond Chain Tensio n: The diamond chain sho uld be tig ht but easily pulled around the guide bar by hand.
613GC OPERATOR’S MANUAL 14 OPERATION CUTTING WITH THE 613GC CUT -OFF SAW To start a cut, hold trig ger on full throttle and slo wly plunge the nose of the g uide bar straight into the wall. Lengthen the cut and eng age the point of the fixed Wall walker ® .
613GC OPERATOR’S MANUAL 15 OPERATION SYSTEM CLEAN-UP • After cutting, run the cut-of f saw for at least 15 seconds with the water on to flush slurry and debri s from diamond chain, guide bar an d drive sprocket. • Wash concrete slurry from cut-off saw assembly.
613GC OPERATOR’S MANUAL 16 MAINTENANCE MAINTENANCE Follow these simple maintenance guidelines and the 613GC Cut-Off Saw will keep running at its very best. AFTER EACH USE 1. Rinse the saw, guide bar and diam ond chain with water. 2. Follow instructions on the Daily Maintenance Label, locate d on the air filter cover.
613GC OPERATOR’S MANUAL 17 MAINTENANCE AIR FILTER The air filter is made from a nylon micro mesh. It must be kept clean for the engine to operate properly. If the cut-off saw is not rea ching full RPM, most likely the air filter is dirty. • The air filter (Figure 1) should be free of holes and whi t e in color.
613GC OPERATOR’S MANUAL 18 MAINTENANCE TENSIONING THE RECOIL SPRING • Lift the starter cord up into the notch on the starter pulley (Figure 4) and wind the pulley clockwise 5 full turns. Remove the cord from the pulley notch while pinchi ng the pulley.
613GC OPERATOR’S MANUAL 19 MAINTENANCE CHAIN TENSIONER The chain tensioner (Figure 1) can become clogged with concrete slurry during cutting. After each use thoro ughly flush the chain tensioner with water. Then apply a liberal amount of grease. Most Common Causes of Tensioner Damag e: • Side cover nuts are not tight enough.
613GC OPERATOR’S MANUAL 20 MAINTENANCE DRIVE SPROCKET REMOVAL • Remove the side cover, guide bar, dia mond chain, and clutch slurry shield. • Remove the spark plug and inse rt the piston stop (supplied with each cut-off saw) into the spark pl u g hole.
613GC OPERATOR’S MANUAL 21 MAINTENANCE CARBURETOR • The function of the carburetor is to mix fuel with air. Adjustments other than Idle speed shou ld be made by a servicing dealer. • Before adjusting the engine idle speed, make sure the air filter is clean and the engine is warmed up.

If the cut is consistently leading to one si de, turn the guide bar over to expose a new set of guide rail s. • A table mounted belt or disc sander can be used to sq uare the rails of a worn guide bar.
