7 Preface The Nor tel Ethernet Routing Switch 8300 is a fle xible and multifunctional La yer 2/La yer 3 switch that suppor ts diverse network architectures and protocols.
8 Preface Each mode provides a specific set of commands . The command set of a higher-privilege mode is a superset of a lower-privilege mode. That is, all lower-privilege mode commands are accessible when using a higher-privilege mode. The command modes are as follo ws: • User EXEC mode This is the initial mode of access.
