2 T riax Elite f eatur es HRM / SDM tr aining system This manual describes the functions of the T riax Elite HRM / SDM training system and the T riax Elite HRM training system. NOTE: Any information pertaining to the SDM pod will not apply to the T riax Elite HRM system.

Push tab up thr ough slot in HRM transmitter . Pr ess down tab until flush. Attach other side of HRM transmitter ar ound chest.
6 Inst alling Application, USB Dock and Driv ers The CD included cont ains the T riax Elite application and drivers f or the USB dock. Use the instructions bel ow to inst all the application, USB driv ers and USB dock. NOTE: Y ou must install the T riax Elite application before plugging the USB dock into the computer .

9 Using SET W A T CH F eatur e Numer ous watch settings can be c ontr olled using the T riax Elite application. Bel ow is a scr eenshot of the SET WA TCH window with a brief description of each function. Y ou can ent er this window by clicking the SET WA T CH button in the upper l eft corner of the Cal endar Scr een.
10 Schedul e and Upl oad W orkouts F ollow s teps thr ough on the next two pages t o use the T riax Elite applic ation to enter work outs in the cal endar and upload any schedul ed or fav orite workouts to the T riax Elite watch. Open the T riax Elite application.
11 Click and drag any work out in the WORK OUTS menu to the curr ent day on the calendar . Click and drag a f ew mor e workouts to futur e Calendar dat es. Locate the F A VORITE WORK OUTS menu on the l ower left side of the Cal endar window . Click and drag a f ew workouts fr om the WORK OUTS menu to the F AV ORITE WORKOUTS menu.

13 5 6 4 4 3 SEC 2 SEC Set Alarm In TIME mode you c an set up to sev en alarms. The alarm will sound intermittently f or 55 seconds. Pr ess any button t o stop the audibl e alarm. F ollow s teps thr ough to set an alarm. All settings shown bel ow may also be set using the T riax Elite application.

16 5 6 3 SEC 3 4 Auto-Calibrate the SDM P od Once c alibrated, the Speed Distanc e Monitor (SDM) pod is mor e than 97% accur ate for most runner s. T o calibrate the SDM pod, use either WORKOUT or CHRONOGRAPH mode. Calibr ate the SDM pod by running 400-800 meters on a marked tr ack, then adjust the watch to e xact distanc e.
17 Manuall y Calibrate the SDM P od After calibr ation, the SDM pod automaticall y cal culates an offset value. The def ault value is 1000. Change the offset value to mak e small adjustments to the calibr ation. If the SDM pod is slightl y under measuring a known distanc e, increase the offset v alue.
18 Using the Chr onograph CHRONOGRAPH mode will r ecor d heart-rate, dist ance, pace, lap and t otal-time data during a run if the c omponents ar e in the corr ect operating position. See page 5, Setup . Both lap times and total-time ar e captur ed simultaneousl y when you pr ess the lap butt on.

20 Set the Auto-Lap F eatur e The chr onograph contains an Aut o-Lap featur e which will automaticall y mark a lap after a determined distanc e. Y ou cannot manuall y mark laps when Auto-Lap is activat ed. F ollow s teps thr ough to set up the Auto-Lap f eature.
21 Revie w Saved Runs or W orkouts Use ST A TS mode to r eview saved inf ormation including total time, aver age heart rate, t otal dist ance, average pac e and detail ed lap information. Up to 100 laps and multipl e runs or workouts c an be stor ed. Detail ed statistics will be availabl e for the most r ecent run.

Bef or e the components c ommunicate pr operly, the wat ch must be link ed to the HRM transmitter and SDM pod to es tablish this shar ed ID.
25 T r oubl eshooting Watch does not link with the USB dock: Reposition the USB dock away fr om your monitor or other el ectr onic devices. Move the wat ch closer t o the USB dock. T urn OFF any nearby devic es possibl y using the same 916MHz radio fr equency ( c ordl ess phones, baby monitors, et c ).
