6 5. Operation Instructions WARNING! Never operate your night vi sion devi ce at daylig ht withou t the lens cover on! Never direct the lens to bright light! 5.1. Prior to use - Unpack the device. - Switch (9) and (7) (Fig.1) must be in the OFF- position.
7 5.3. Operatio n at night AT MOON LIGHT: Take off the lens ca p (4). Turn on the device using swit ch (7). AT INSUFFICIENT AM BIENT ILLUMINATION Turn on the device usin g switch (7). Turn s witch (9 ) into ON position. The IR illu minator ON-indicator (8) should glow.
8 6. STORAGE AN D MAINTENANCE Warning! After t ransportat ion or kee ping the de vice at temperature lower than -25 ° C (- 13 ° F), the device must be warmed up to am bient temperature from -20 ° C (-4 ° F) to +40 ° C (104 ° F) during 2-3 hours.
9 • Due to the considerable op tical magnification of the eyepiece some small structures inside the tube coating in the form of da rk and/ or white spots m ay be seen in the field of view. This d oes not affect th e function al ability of the device.
10 7. TROUBLESHOOTING 7.1. The monocular doe s not work. Check that the batteries are installed prop erly. Check the charge of the batteries. Replace batteries if necessary. 7.2. The image does not appear in focus. Bring object to the ce nter of the im age.
11 7.5. Visibility decreases and / or disappears. Bright lig ht sources (m oon, p rojectors or he adlights) m ay cause visibility to d egrade or even completely disappear. Move the scope away from the light s ource im mediately. The image should b e restored in within 2 minutes.
12 8. WARRANTY NEWCON warrants this product against defects in m aterial and workmanship for one year from the date of the original purchase, but no more tha n 18 m onths from the date of manufacturi ng. Longer warranty is available, subject to the terms of the specific sales c ontract.
