10 Changing b attery To install a battery: Slide the battery compartm en t cover down (9, Fig. 2) Install the battery observing polarity Don’t appl y superfluous st rength whi le pushing t he battery inside the compartment.
11 Measuring procedure To start the m easuring procedure , remove th e lens cover. L ook through the eyepi ece (1, Fig. 1, 2) a nd ad just the focus by its rotating. When the Rangefi nder is off th e LCD is blank. To activate it press and hold A butto n (6, Fig.
12 Target reflectivity depends on its c olor, surface finish, size, shape, position in relation to the laser beam, etc. Bright target colors are more reflective tha n darks. A polished surface is m ore reflective than a rough one. L arger targets reflect better t han small ones.

15 6. STORAGE AN D MAINTENANCE The unit is a s ophisticated precision optical instrum ent equippe d with laser and electronics. Ther efore, it should be handled with due care. Keep away from direct sunlight. Avoid impacts, jolts, dust, moisture, and sharp changes of temperature.
16 7. TROUBLESHOOTING The ranging does not work . Th e display is tra nsparent. Check the charge of the battery. Replace it if it is weak. Black dots are visible on LC D. Liquid Cryst al Display m ay have sm all black dots , scratches and other blemi shes inherited from the manufacturing pr ocess.
17 8. WARRANTY NEWCON warrants this product against defects in material and workmanshi p for one year from the date of the origi nal purchase. Longer warranty is available, subject to the terms of the specific sales contract.
