7 5. Operation Instructions WARNING! Never operate your night vi sion devi ce at dayli ght withou t the lens cover on! Never direct the lens to bright light! 5.1. Prior to use Unpack the device. To i nstall/r eplace battery unscrew battery compartment cover (7) and install/replace the battery observing the polarity; close cover (7).
8 If ambient light is insufficient an IR illuminator can be activated by pressing switch (5). Note: After a while the Unit will shut itself off to prevent battery drain. 5.4. Using the camera/vide o adapter. Prior to installing the adap ter, carefully remove the eye cup.
9 6. TROUBLESHOOTING 6.1. The monocular doe s not work. Check that the battery is installed properly. Check the battery charge. Re place if it is weak. 6.2. The image does not appear in focus. Bring the inspected obj ect to the center of the im age. Turning the eyepiece focusing lever (3) a djust to achieve the clearest image on the sc reen.
10 6.5. Visibility decreases and / or disappears. Bright lig ht sources (m oon, p rojectors or headlights ) may result in visibility degrad ation or even complete disappearance. If this ha ppens m ove the scope away from t he light source immediately.
