Page 3 INTRODUCTION Your new MODEL FS 21 is a non-catalytic unit desi gned to meet the most stringent emissions standards without the use of a catalytic combusto r. This effect is achieved through the use of secondary air which is mixed with primary air in the unit’s firebox.

FAULTY CHIMNEY: An older masonry chim ney should be thoroughly checked to be sure there are no holes or weak spots which coul d allow sparks or hot gases to escape.
