6 Attaching T h e Hopper Assemb ly (All Models) • Remove s ix hex nuts and wa shers fr om the weld studs on the impeller housing. Le ave the suppor t plate in pla ce on the weld studs . See Figu re 2. • Place hopper ass embly int o positi on in front of impelle r ho using, a ligning hole s in hopper assem bly co llar wi th weld stud s.
7 SECTION 3: KNOW YOUR CHIPPER SHREDDER Read this ope rator’s man ual and safe ty rules before operatin g your chippe r shredd er vacuum. Com pare th e illustr ations in Figure 5 with your unit to fam iliarize yourse lf with the loc ation of vario us contro ls and adjustme nts.
8 Starting E ngine • Attach spar k plug wire to s park plug. Mak e certain the metal ca p on the end of the spark plug is fastened s ecurely ov er the metal tip on the spar k plug. • Engin es with chok e lever: Move chok e lever on en gine to CHO KE position.
9 SECTION 5: MAINTAINING YOUR CHIPPER SHREDDER WARNING: Always stop engine, discon- nect spark plug, and ground against engine before c leaning, lubricating or doing any kind of maintenance on your machine.
