5 S Mix and pour fuel i n an outdoor area on bare ground; s tore f uel in a cool , dry, well venti - lated plac e; and us e an approv ed, mark ed conta iner for all fuel pur pose s. Wipe up all fuel s pills before s tar ting s aw . S M ove at least 10 feet (3 meters ) from fuel- ing site bef ore s tarting engine.

10 DIFFICUL T STARTI NG (or start ing a flooded engine) The engine may be flooded w ith too muc h fuel if it has not s tarted aft er 10 pulls. Flooded engines c an be clear ed of ex c ess fuel by pus hing the chok e/fas t idle lever in completely (to the OFF C HO KE position) and then following t he warm engine star ting proc edure listed abov e.

14 Replac e guide bar when the groove is wor n, the guide bar is bent or c rac ked, or when exc es s heating or burring of the rails occ urs . If replac ement is n eces s ary, use only t he guide bar specified for your saw in the re pair parts list or on the decal loc ated on the c hain s aw.
