12 13 E N G L I S H 1. User unleaded gasoline with a pump octane rating of 86 or higher . 2. We recommend unleaded gasoline because it produces f ewer engine and spark plug deposits and extends exhaust system lif e. 3. Nev er use stale or contaminated gasoline or oil/gasoline mixture.
E N G L I S H 6-2. GENERA TOR OPERA TIONS Circuit Breaker The circuit breaker (A) will automatically s witch OFF if there is a shor t circuit or a significant ov er load of the generator at the recep- tacle.
16 17 E N G L I S H The ground terminal can be used to ear th the generator or bond the frame of the generator to the frame of a v ehicle, but only if it is required b y locallaw or electrical code. Bef ore using the ground terminal consult a qualified electrician or electrical inspector for regulations in your area.
18 19 E N G L I S H 7-1. ST ARTING THE ENGINE 1. Make sure to disconnect all electrical loads from panel receptacles. 2. T urn the fuel switch to the ON position. 3. Move the choke le ver out to the CLOSED position. 4. T urn the ON/OFF Switch to the ON position.
20 21 E N G L I S H 8-2. ENGINE OIL CHANGE Drain the oil while the engine is warm to assure rapid and complete draining. 1. Remove the drain plug (A) and oil filler cap (B) and drain the oil. (Fig. 8-2A) 2. Reinstall the drain plug. Tighten the plug securely .
